Chris Mendola, Senior, is a retired USAF officer with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Master's degree in Meteorology. In 1988, after 23 years of active military duty, Chris Senior founded Christone Enterprises, Inc. with his partner and long-time business associate, Tony Sosa. Chris and Tony (hence the name Christone) managed the company until 1998 when Tony retired and conveyed his interest to Chris. Chris Senior retired to Florida in 2005, though remains at hand as consigliere for his son, Chris Mendola, Junior, who remains president of Christone Enterprises, Inc.
Chris Senior has consistently been an active civic leader who believes in supporting his community. In 1996, he was a founding sponsor of Downtown O'Fallon and is a continued supporter of the O'Fallon Police and Fire Departments. An advocate of education, Chris Senior holds an Illinois Real-Estate Instructor License and has taught real-estate courses since 1995 to include pre-license, real-estate investment, property management and real-estate finance. He has also taught business administration courses in marketing, consumer behavior and personnel management.
Chris Mendola, Junior, joined the company in 1998 as Operations Manager and founded ELM Construction as a sister company dedicated exclusively to maintaining properties under the management of Christone Enterprises. Chris Junior currently serves as president of Christone Enterprises and ELM Construction, overseeing operations for both companies while ensuring the spirit of family-based ownership continues. Chris Junior received Bachelor's degrees in both Economics and Finance from Southern Illinois University School of Business. He shares his father’s belief in community support and served on the Main Street O’Fallon Committee for two years. Chris Junior also served a four-year term as Director on the O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Committee.
In 2010, Christone Enterprises and ELM Construction managed and maintained more than 700 single-family and multiple rental units with a staff of 16 employees. With a firm, professional employee-base and second-generation family management, the company is poised for continued growth in the new millennium.

Christone Enterprises has accommodated two office mascots over the years that have been friends to all who enter. Lexi, a Doberman Pinscher, was a gentle, loyal and fun-loving companion. Many know our latest mascot as “The Doggy in the Window” but he was Sam, a sweet-natured Brittany Spaniel. A stray, Sam wandered into our office one summer afternoon and quickly won our hearts. What better place to come for a new home than a property management company? We were blessed with his friendship for six years. Rest in peace, we remember you both fondly.
